Beginning March 25, Kyle and Katina Connaughton, the dynamic couple behind Sonoma County’s SingleThread, bring the refinement and joy of their Michelin three-star experience to our Alexander Valley winery. This limited collaboration between Healdsburg friends and neighbors intertwines regenerative farming, rapturous cooking and precision service in one of the world’s most intimate and rarefied dining experiences.

The seven-course, educational wine and food experience (March 25 and 27, April 1-4, April 7 and 9; $725 per person) features our family of wines, including Silver Oak, Twomey and Timeless Napa Valley. As of Friday, March 11, at 9am PST, reservations will be available.

“Kyle and Katina have drawn the culinary world’s attention to the rich bounty of Sonoma County like never before,” says Silver Oak Proprietor and CEO David R. Duncan. “Even more noteworthy is their generosity, providing meals to our community throughout the pandemic. The chance to welcome them in our home and share perspectives is a once in a lifetime guest experience.”

For the Silver Oak and SingleThread wine and culinary teams, this collaboration is a rare opportunity to find inspiration in complementary perspectives with regard to Sonoma Country terroir (Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley). In seeking the height of flavor and texture, both institutions share a locavore ethos, as well as a commitment to regenerative and minimalist farming methods.

“For us, this is rare opportunity to expand beyond our own soil and take a broader look at the terroir and biodiversity of Sonoma County through the lens of Twomey and Silver Oak,” Kyle says. “For nearly 50 years, the Duncans have developed a reputation for crafting wines that are both true to their origins and versatile with food.”

About Kyle & Katina

As one of the world’s most accomplished chefs, Kyle Connaughton has perfectly woven together flavors, concepts and sensibilities throughout his career. With stops at France’s legendary Michel Bras, the UK’s Fat Duck, Spago and numerous top kitchens in Japan, he ultimately created the fabric that is now SingleThread.

Head farmer Katina Connaughton’s agricultural experience stretches from Hokkaido, Japan, to English gardens to Sonoma soils—where she today oversees SingleThread’s five acres of greenhouses, heirloom orchards, beehives, flowers and livestock.
