Ruth’s Chris Steak House to Host 175 TasteMaker Dinners Nationwide
A wine list staple at the great steakhouses of the world for more than five decades, Silver Oak is widely regarded as the perfect complement to mouthwatering steak and warm hospitality. Looking back, we trace much of our success to steakhouses like Ruth’s Chris, who happen to share a remarkably similar origin story to our own. Both family-owned businesses share humble beginnings and arrived on the national culinary stage in the mid-1970s, delighting diners for many of life’s most joyous moments.
To celebrate 50 years of Ruth’s Chris and Silver Oak, we’re teaming up to bring the party to you. Kicking off mid-May and running through June, the Ruth’s Chris TasteMaker dinner series includes more than 175 wine dinners across the country in four short weeks.
“Ruth Fertel (founder of Ruth’s Chris) has been called the First Lady of Steak for her remarkable story of entrepreneurship, resiliency and gracious hospitality,” says Silver Oak Proprietor David R. Duncan. “These same virtues compelled my father Ray to get into the wine business long ago, and this is a chance to share in those values and also thank the loyal fans who supported us along the way.”
Each intimate experience (starting at $165 per person) features an exclusive four-course wine and food menu inspired by not only the Silver Oak history but also the resiliency and commitment to excellence that’s shared with Ruth’s Chris.
